Bryan - fantastic summary. This post should be "Podcasting 101" for anyone looking to get started.

One other side note to add, we did cross post these interviews on Jim's Mzinga blog and that's where we drove a number of our Twitter pals. Also, I know that these will be incredibly valuable for IIR (the conference producer) as they market the event next year.

Looking forward to tomorrow's early AM podcast!

Best,
Aaron | @astrout

Great summary Bryan. I have three items to add:

1. Come prepared with extra extra batteries, cables, etc. for your gear, which reminds me that I owe you two AA's.
2. Keep tabs on the time remaining on your storage media. Aaron and I sat with Lee LeFever from Commoncraft for a really great session, only to find out later that only 90 seconds of the six minute interview were captured. Unfortunately, Lee had left the event by the time we found the problem, so there was no re-do. Cue Homer Simpson "Doh!"
3. Be creative with your requests for podcasts. Charlene was only in town for 12 hours and we got the interview because we met her at the airport at midnight. Most everyone wants to speak with you, you just need to ask and figure out how to make it happen.

Oh, an make sure you have someone talented like Bryan to work on the post-production work. ;-)
