About Bryan

Bryan Person
My name is Bryan Person, and I am passionate about social media. I want to help you and your company learn how new-media tools such as blogs and microblogs, podcasts, wikis, and online social networks empower you to have a genuine conversation with your customers.

I am a blogger. BryanPerson.com is a a mix of practical advice for using social media, commentary on the goings-on in other PR and marketing blogs and podcasts, and reflections from in-person networking events/conferences that I attend and organize.

I am a podcaster. New Comm Road is a program where I explain how to use the tools of social media and integrate them into your company’s communications strategy.

I am a community and event organizer. I believe that a big part of the power of social media happens when online conversations turn into face-to-face meetings. To that end, I organize monthly Social Media Breakfasts for Boston’s online PR, marketing, and entrepreneurial community. I also work with community leaders in other cities who want to launch their own Social Media Breakfast series.

I am a speaker. I present at conferences, unconferences, and to organizations about the latest trends and best practices in social media. I also speak about the ways that the connected worker can use social media and online social networks to build their personal brand and raise their professional profile.

By day, I am an interactive content producer for Monster.com. I create online content that helps people to find a job, start a new career, and understand life in the workplace.

On the personal side, I enjoy learning new languages. I speak fluent Spanish and coversational Portuguese, and I know bits and pieces of French, Swahili, and Tetum (the national language of East Timor). I have a wife and two children. We live in the Boston area.
