Michael Lazerow isn’t shy about sharing his views on Facebook’s potential. He says, in no uncertain terms, that the social network is “changing brand advertising forever.”
Michael is the CEO of Buddy Media and will be presenting at the free LiveBar event in New York City that I’ve organized organized for LiveWorld for Wednesday, March 24 [...]

* The second-annual Social Media Week is underway in five cities around the world. If you’re reading this post from New York, San Francisco, Toronto, London, or Sao Palo, you still have time to register and attend one or several high-quality events between tonight and Friday.
* In making the case that Facebook could become the [...]
First, a disclaimer: I’m not a lawyer and don’t pretend to play one on this blog, or in any other venue of commentary.
With that out of the way … what if retweets are an infringement of US copyright law?

Starting at 8:00am Central Time tomorrow morning, we’ll be (fingers crossed) video live streaming, through UStream, a presentation from Tim Walker at Waco’s Social Media Breakfast 7.

It is with some apprehension that I enter into the world of online video production.
In the audio or video discussions that often pop up on blogs and podcasts, I’ve always felt aligned to the former. Whether it’s how my brain is wired–I am more of an auditory learner than a visual one–the memories of my [...]

Boston.com and the Boston Globe have started several Twitter feeds, including one each for sports columnists Tony Massarotti (@GlobeMazz) and Chad Finn (@GlobeChadFinn).
It’s a step in the right direction, certainly, but I think Chad and Mazz could be doing more with their individual Twitter accounts. Here’s my friendly advice for them.

Inspired by the efforts of Neville Hobson, I’ve put together a montage of family photos from 2008 as a way of recapping the last 12 months (with a helping hand from Animoto).
Here’s hoping 2009 will be as memorable as 2008 has been. Happy new year!
Part 1
Programming note: In spite of following Animoto’s estimates when choosing [...]
